How
Do I Copy Text And Images?
Downloading text and images from the Internet
is very easy. By following the steps listed
below, you will be on your way to copying
text and images from Web.
Step 1
Open the document into which
you want to insert the text or images.
Step
2
Go to the Web site and highlight the area
that you want to retrieve.
Step
3
Using the keyboard, simply press
Control C (Command C on
a Mac) to copy the image or text.
Step
4
Now you can go back to the documents you
prepared in step 1.
Step
5
Position your cursor where you
want to insert the material and press Control
V (Command V on a Mac)
to paste in the text or image. (You can
also use the Copy and Paste buttons under
the Edit menu at the top of your screen.)
Taking
a picture of the whole screen
If
you want to take a picture of the whole
screen -- also called a screenshot -- follow
the same procedure. But instead of highlighting
the area, you should make sure you have
the screen positioned exactly where you
want it and then press the PrintScreen
command. You can then paste the image where
you want it. (On a Mac, Command
3 will take a full screenshot; Command
4 allows you to "crop" the image and
make it smaller.)
